Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the team's eye at the Belmont meeting on May 22.

Race 5 - Comes A Time (fourth). Consistent gelding that was very competitive throughout last year in some handy races and can't buy a trick this preparation, being caught three-wide yet again, but has stuck on well considering. There's a few to follow from this event although the beaten favourite, Bright Diamond will likely be well found again. Comes A Time is going well, just needs a pinch of luck.

Race 6 - Ginger Baker (fifth). Was cricket score odds on this resumption, but it was a strong return, ridden cold from a wide gate before rattling of comfortably the fastest last 600m of the race (33.73). A lightly raced three-year-old who broke the Maiden second-up in December over 1400m before a narrow defeat at Bunbury, he's improving and one that is perhaps a little underrated.

Race 9 - Aberdeen Queen (fourth). Class got her home first-up at Northam despite carrying 60kg and sustaining a wide run while a poor gate was the only factor that stopped her going back-to-back on Saturday. Was the only runner in the last to break 34 seconds for the last 600m (33.97) and that was from a wide run. Unlucky at Group level in summer and can bounce back quickly third-up.
