Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the team's eye at the Belmont meeting on July 24.

Race 1 - He's A Sizzler (second)

Was simply just beaten for speed early in this 1000m dash, but was the clear eye-catcher when balancing up late, rattling off easiest the fastest last 600m of the race. A rising three-year-old at just start number three here and returning from a spell, it's clear that he'll thrive over more ground which his breeding also suggests (his dam won over 2100m).

Race 4 - Zaratite (second)

Beaten second-up from a long spell, it was expected that Zaratite would return to the winner's stall here over the staying trip which clearly should've been the case. Held up for the majority of the run home, Pike has attempted to take the narrowest of runs in the last 100m and was only beaten a pimple on the line. Should've won this by panels.

Race 7 - Notorious One (third)

This gelding isn't exactly a straight forward galloper, however, if the Gangemi yard can iron out those flaws (settled much better first-up with Johnston-Porter aboard), he could well be Stakes class runner. The fresh win was superb and with almost everything going wrong here, has still managed to get home without ever balancing up. Quirky, but plenty of talent there.
