Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the team's eye at the Belmont meeting on August 21.

Race 3 - Temptacion (fifth)

Was always going to improve whatever she did here first-up with 61.5kg and although on class was expected to finish closer, she didn't quite pick up initially on the wet track, warming up late when it was all over. Her prior form from her late three-year-old season was superb and second-up on firmer ground, she can be a big improver over a little more ground.

Race 7 - Gunmetal Grey (sixth)

Despite not fully getting through a Heavy 10, the only runner that has beat her home second-up was the hard fit Jedi Mind and the prior form around All Day session (third) is fair. Only beaten a length here after being shuffled back to an impossible position early and is clearly in need of firmer ground, while she can also be placed softer with a low rating.

Race 8 - Cockyjoy (fourth)

Arguably the one of day was the return effort from this six-year-old, who has comfortably recorded the fastest last 600m of the program when sustaining a wide run off a muddling tempo with nothing taking her into it. A versatile mare that can compete from 1000m to 1400m, there's slightly softer options out there, albeit she would've gone close on Saturday from a good gate.
