- Bendigo Race 6 No. 1- Bifrost
- Bendigo Race 10 No. 6- White Bear
Bendigo racing takes place on Thursday, July 11, with a 10-race program for the Victorian meeting.
We have the best bets picked out from across the day with value selections for Bendigo Racecourse.
Bendigo Race 5 No. 2- Bluestone
Bluestone can make his mark at his second career start. The Mick Kent-trained gelding stepped out at Moe on debut on a Heavy track and was back in a slowly run affair before working home well to finish 4th behind Sweet Jasmine.
That came over the 1623m journey and he jumps straight up to the 2200m for this but gives the impression that he can stay, while the son of Reliable Man should appreciate the going.
Bendigo Race 6 No. 1- Bifrost
Bifrost should find this easier than recent runs. The five-year-old drops sharply in grade and has been competitive at BenchMark 70 level this preparation with a 3rd placing behind Losesomewinmore three starts back at Flemington over the 1100m before finishing runner-up at Cranbourne in a BM64.
At his most recent start, the Emma Lee & David Browne-trained galloper was too far back in a leader dominated affair at Mornington. He just needs to jump better this time around and settle a tad closer.
Bendigo Race 10 No. 6- White Bear
White Bear can end the day a winner. The Mike Moroney-trained galloper comes into this with seven weeks in between runs and didn’t quite handle the Flemington straight last time when 6th over the 1100m behind Losesomewinmore.
Form prior to that was first class when finishing close in a series of runs at Caulfield, while the son of Shamexpress was a dominant five length winner when fresh at Benalla in a BenchMark 64 to kickstart his preparation.
The four-year-old has been a noted firmer in the early betting and saves ground from the inside barrier.
