Bendigo Racing Tips 15.09.2021 - 4 Best Bets

Bendigo hosts an eight-race card on Wednesday, September 15, and we have our four best bets available. Our tips include two unbeaten runners that could rise through the grades. It's always good racing at Bendigo, which hosts quality midweek racing.
  • Race 3 2:10pm AEST – No. 3 Riverplate
  • Race 4 2:45pm AEST – No. 4 Rapid Achiever
  • Race 5 3:20pm AEST – No. 2 Agreeable
  • Race 8 5:05pm AEST – No. 13 More Secrets

Race 3 2:10pm AEST – No. 3 Riverplate

Punters must take short odds for the favourite, but Riverplate is clearly the one to beat. The Busuttin/Young-trained colt is a Kiwi runner who came to Australia after finishing second at Te Rapa on debut. His first run in Australia came at Sandown when running second as an $8.50 chance. He was only a nose behind the winner, which should be an excellent form guide.

The son of Flying Artie has a hold on the market at $1.50. It’s a short quote, but there isn’t much opposition standing in his way from breaking through. He could start at around $1.30, so punters should snap up the price.

Race 4 2:45pm AEST – No. 4 Rapid Achiever

The four-year-old mare did plenty right when winning on debut at Donald and form out of that meeting is well worth following. She scored by 3.3 lengths in the heavy conditions, and it was an impressive way to start her career. She also comes out of the Maher/Eustace stable, and the early betting support is a good sign. She showed good barrier speed in the win and sitting near the pace at Bendigo is always a positive.

She then showed good pace when scoring at Sandown last time out, so that form looks good for this contest. John Allen sticks with the unbeaten daughter of Wootton Bassett, so we’re confident of a big run.

Race 5 3:20pm AEST – No. 2 Agreeable

Agreeable has the class on this field after showing plenty of ability throughout her career. She is a two-time winner from 10 starts, but she has faced tough fields throughout. The daughter of Sebring scored an impressive win at Caulfield in April when scoring by a length over Pride of Jenni, which should be a good form guide.

Not much was asked for her in a recent jumpout at Mornington, so the betting support is a good sign. She opened at each-way odds, and we expect punters to get a similar price on race day.

Race 8 5:05pm AEST – No. 13 More Secrets

More Secrets is another unbeaten runner at Bendigo on Wednesday. The four-year-old mare scored on debut at Pakenham by two lengths behind heading to Bendigo and winning by a nose over the slightly longer distance. It was a tough effort from the mare by More than Ready, who looks good enough to rise through the grades without too much fuss.

She gets the services of Craig Williams from barrier two, so she will get every chance in the run. She is in the Hawkes stable, so the polish will be there, and she should see plenty of betting support on race day. The $2.70 is steadily firming, so put her at the top of selections.
