The four-year-old has finished runner-up at his past two starts and led them up at Sale on April 20 over the 1100m before going down in the shadows behind Volatile, putting a big gap on the rest of them. The Matthew Brown-trained galloper went 3.4 lenghts slower than standard benchmark last time, which is three lengths above the class average for this race and more than four lengths better than the next best last start figure of any runner. She should be ready to peak third up and will take some catching. 

The former Singapore galloper, Lightning Express, creates interest in Race 5. The five-year-old stepped out for the first time in Australia recently at Echuca and was back on a very slow tempo before closing off strongly for 3rd. He gets to the 1600m and has won three of six at the trip. Tom Prebble rides and claims the 1.5kg. 

Pocket Size has been in red hot form at her current preparation and should be hard to beat in this race. The four-year-old scored at Pakenham and Ballarat before narrowly going down as the runner-up at Caulfield on April 16. All of those runs were over the 1000m and she went 2.4 lengths faster than standard benchmark in the most recent of those, which is three lengths better than the next best last start figures of any runner in this race. She can box seat from barrier 4 and gets the 3kg claim for Nadia Daniels, who has partnered her in her last three starts.
