Benalla racing takes place on Tuesday, March 11, with an eight-race program set down for Benalla racetrack.
- Race 3 No. 6- All Kinds Of Folk
- Race 7 No.1- Innocent Enuff
- Race 8 No. 5- Inez
We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Benalla racetrack.
Race 3 No. 6- All Kinds Of Folk
All Kinds Of Folk should be hard to beat in Race 3. The Wangaratta galloper is yet to win in seven starts but boasts some impressive form earlier at her initial preparation that saw her place 4th at Group 2 level last spring at Flemington. She resumed at Sandown on February 26 over the 1300m and settled just worse than midfield before producing the second fastest last 200m to place 4th behind Bossy Benita. This looks easier and at her last campaign she improved on benchmark figures when second up with a 4th in strong form race at Ballarat before her effort in the Edward Manifold Stakes. She should have the edge on this lot.
Race 7 No.1- Innocent Enuff
Innocent Enuff is a major player in Race 7. The five-year-old has finished top three in four of her past five, winning one. She went down narrowly at Werribee two starts ago before being outgunned late by Gracie’s Rain at Kilmore on February 21 over the 1100m when 3rd. The runner-up and the 5th placegetter out of that have won their next starts. Innocent Enuff comes in with the best last start benchmark figures of any runner and draws nicely in her quest to go a couple of spots better.
Race 8 No. 5- Inez
We close off with a BenchMark 64 over the 1606m and Amphactor can end the day a winner. The Mark & Levi Kavanagh-trained galloper resumed at Kilmore on February 21 and settled back before producing the fastest last 200m to place 4th behind Spirit Of Jo. He made his mark over longer distances earlier in his career but his performances over the 1400m-1600m distance range have been sound and this does not look to be a strong race. A firmer in the early betting, the five-year-old will strip fitter and the rise to the 1600m suits, while he draws to enjoy the run of the race from barrier 4.
