- Race 5: No.4 Aloha Blue
- Race 6: No.6 Sharendipity

We have the best bets picked from across the meeting with a Best Bet and other value selections for Balaklava racetrack.
Race 5: No.4 Aloha Blue
Local galloper Aloha Blue is second-up here and fitter today, looks in the mix for this event.
Last start, the Hualalai mare resumed after six months off the scene and wasn’t disgraced when finishing third in a Calss 1 Hcp, here over 1050m.
She settled second in the race before taking over inside the final 200m but her condition gave out as she was grabbed by a couple fitter on the day.
That was her first look at the track where she was beaten just 1.5 lengths on the line.
She draws well in gate five here and has the in-form Rochelle Milnes aboard as the new pilot.
Already a winner when second-up, she can play a leading role in the outcome of this contest.
Race 6: No.6 Sharendipity
Cody Reardon saddles-up Sharendipity here who is third-up today and looks a strong chance of going back-to-back in this event.
Last start, the Overshare mare was second-up and showed a ton of improvement when she claimed victory in a Class 1 Hcp, here over 1050m.
After settling mid-field, Manoel Nunes worked her into the race on the turn before finishing strongly to take over inside the final 100m and go on to win by more than a length on the line.
Drawn well in gate five here, Jason Holder steers the ship for the first time and maps to have the four-year-old settled better than mid-field with cover.
This BM58 looks a little easier than her last-start Class 1 event and even fitter for two runs back now, she looks a serious competitor in this contest.
Race 8: No.2 The Golden Fist
The Garret Lynch-trained galloper is in career-best form this time in and down in grade today, looks a genuine winning chance in this event.
Last start, the Rubick gelding recorded his fifth podium finish in the past six starts when he beat all but one home in a BM64 over 1550m at Morphettville.
With Connor Murtagh in the saddle, he did well to settle mid-field from gate 11 (of 13) and in the run home, showed plenty of dash to get within a long neck of victory.
He comes off city-class competition here and drops back to a BM60 contest where he draws much better in gate three and maps to be near mid-field again with Murtagh remaining aboard.
The four-year-old has been the punter’s pal this campaign and while he is in this mood, he looks the testing material in tis contest.
