Ascot racing takes place on Saturday, March 15 with a 9-race program set down for Ascot racetrack.

Race 4: No.4 Sinful Living
Race 7: No.4 Our Mate Archie
Race 8: No.8 Secret Attraction

Race 4: No.4 Sinful Living

The Team Pearce-trained galloper is second-up here and ticks enough boxes to suggest she is a winning chance in this event.

Last start, the Safeguard filly resumed off a 16-week spell and wasn’t disgraced when finishing fifth in a BM66, here over 1000m with William Pike in the saddle.

Trying to lead all the way, the 57kgs took its toll on her fresh legs as she weakened out of it in the final 100m.

She draws the outside gate (9) here but maps to cross early and possibly lead again.

Natasha Faithfull rode the filly to a recent trial win and returns here to steer the ship again.

Fitter for that first-up effort and unbeaten in two previous second-up runs, she should prove hard to run down in this contest.

Race 7: No.4 Our Mate Archie

The Steele Casey-trained galloper has been a model of consistency since beginning his racing career and looks ideally placed here to score win number four in this event.

Last start, the all-Australian bred gelding came off four-straight podium finishes when that run came to an end after he finished fifth, here over 1200m with William Pike aboard.

He came from well back in the field but arrived a little too late to bother the placegetters, still beaten just 1.5 lengths on the line.

He steps-up to the 1400m again where he finished runner-up in both previous attempts.

He gets all the favours in gate one here with Jarrad Noske returning for the ride after steering the four-year-old to three top-two finishes from his three previous rides.

Both starts at the track and distance ended in runner-up finishes so a change of luck is now due.

Race 8: No.8 Secret Attraction

The Kalgoorlie-based galloper is second-up here and boasting a real love for the Ascot track, looks perfectly placed to score win number six in this event.

Last start, the well-bred Savabeel mare resumed after 18 weeks off the scene and successfully protesting, was awarded second place in a BM66, here over 1400m with Pike in the saddle.

Over the final 200m, it was a three-horse battle with plenty of bumping happening and across the line it was less than half a length between them.

She gets the gun-run from gate one here and has Pike sticking with her for this assignment.

In Listed company here, the five-year-old drops 4kgs from her last start and already a winner when second-up, a trouble-free run here can see her claim her second Ascot success in this contest.
