Race 7: No.9 This’ll Show Ya
The Mitch Pateman-trained galloper is in good touch this time in and has strong claims here to suggest she can finish amongst them at odds in this event.
Last start, the Showtime filly found the podium for the third time this preparation when she finished third in a BM58 over 1000m at Mt Barker.
Trying to lead all the way, she gave them something to chase but was unable to hold them off, beaten home by two swoopers who were better on the day.
Holly Watson sticks with her and has been aboard for all seven top-three finishes to date.
Barrier eight see her crossing to settle just behind the speed which could prove a better move here.
Down 2.5kgs on her last run, she looks well worth an each-way ticket in this contest.
Race 8: No.3 Great Demon
The Stephen Miller-trained Great Demon is second-up here and with Brad Parnham back for the ride, looks the one to beat in this event.
Last start, the Magnus gelding was fresh off a 21-week spell and did well to finish third in a Class 3, here over 1400m.
The stable fit the winkers for the first time here as Brad Parnham returns to take charge, having ridden the five-year-old to all three of his career wins to date.
From barrier eight, he maps to cross and settle in the first half-dozen and fitter for that first-up run, can make a mark in this contest.
Race 9: No.8 Hostile Talk
Team Williams saddle-up Hostile Talk here who is fourth-up and looks on target for the hat-trick in this event.
Last start, the War Chant gelding made it back-to-back wins when he took out a BM66, here over 1400m.
Regular rider, Clint Johnston-Porter was aboard that day and rode the gelding a treat and after settling better than mid-field early, took control inside the final 200m and went on to score by 1.5 lengths on the line.
Johnston-Porter remains in control here and from barrier eight, maps to settle near mid-field with cover.
At his peak here after three runs back and already a two-time winner at the track, a trouble-free run should see him hard to hold out again.
