Hugh Bowman won the NSW Country Apprentice title in 1999/2000 and has since become one of the greatest jockeys of all time. 

He rode his first Group 1 winner in 2004 when Defier won the Doomben Cup and there hasn’t been a season since where Bowman has gone winless at Group 1 level. 

Many of his Group 1 wins have come with Winx, but he has partnered the likes of Jameka to win the 2017 BMW, Invader in the Inglis Sires and many more across his 18-year career.
He rode 120 winners during the 2017/2018 season and given his popularity with punters, they were rewarded with plenty of wins.
