2020 Stradbroke Handicap Best Bet – The Bostonian @ 5.50
The Bostonian looks a good Stradbroke Handicap bet at 5.50. He’s a Kiwi runner which has already won two of the Brisbane Winter Carnival’s biggest races.
A son of Jimmy Choux, The Bostonian scored a terrific win in the Doomben 10,000 before backing that up with another Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup win at Eagle Farm.
He’s unbeaten in Australia and punters continue to get good odds for the four-year-old. He paid double-figure odds when winning last start but they have come in droves to back him this time around.

Bookmakers opened The Bostonian at 6.50 earlier in the week but he has firmed into 5.50. More money is expected to come for The Bostonian and we’re not surprised.
He has already beaten the majority of this field and although he has a big weight, he has the class to carry that to victory.
2020 Stradbroke Handicap Best Each Way – Tyzone @ 15.00
There’s not much wrong with the form of Tyzone and the five-year-old could offer some value for Stradbroke Handicap punters.
The Toby Edmonds-trained runner has recorded 16 wins from 31 starts and that’s some record to have amassed at this point of his career. He comes into this with a win at Doomben in the BRC Sprint and he could make the rise in class.
Going from Group 3 to Group 1 class isn’t going to be easy but Tyzone deserves a chance to shine during the Brisbane Winter Carnival.
He has a ROI of 87% throughout his career and given that he’s paying double-figure odds for the Stradbroke Handicap, he’s a good value chance.
Tyzone has won or placed in 67.7% of his career starts and punters should take the each-way odds on offer.
2020 Stradbroke Handicap Best Roughie – Pretty In Pink @ 21.00
Coming off a Group 2 Moreton Cup win last week, Pretty In Pink could score consecutive wins, but it’s not going to be easy.
She’s only a three-year-old filly with seven races to her name, but she does get into the Stradbroke Handicap with a light weight. That could make all the difference and she did defeat a good field last start.
Pretty In Pink was too good for the likes of Brave Song and Winter Bride, with both likely to start at shorter odds than $21 in the Stradbroke Handicap.
Punters will be taking a risk with Pretty In Pink, but her ROI of 190% is worth noting and she could feature in the placings.
Best Bet: The Bostonian – 5.50 @ BetEasy
Best Each Way: Tyzone – 15.00 @ bet365
Best Roughie: Pretty In Pink – 21.00 @ bet365
