Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the Blackbook.com.au team's eye at the Randwick meeting on July 10.

Race 3 - Dream Runner (fourth)

Very talented galloper from the Keith Dryden stable who saluted in a strong Class 2 last winter (safely held Brutality) and off a long spell, is building in this preparation nicely, finding the line well here second-up over the seven furlongs. Needs 1600m now and will perhaps even stretch out to ten furlongs later.

Race 5 - Harp Marx (first)

Consistent import who is improving with every start and on the seven-day back-up, has given his rivals a galloping lesson, smashing the clock in the process (come home around five and a half lengths faster - last 600m than the next fastest). Too good for off-season company, we'll see him in better races over the spring.

Race 6 - Lancaster Bomber (second)

They were all comprehensively out-ridden by Brock Ryan on the winner and after spotting Perigord much too big a start, this gelding has rattled off easily the best closing splits of the race. This followed a good return behind Malkovich (subsequent Melbourne winner) and he does look ready to peak.
