Race 2 - The Partisan (second)
While wary that a 150/1 chance swooped to win, this gelding has had zero luck in two runs this campaign. After a brave effort when flushed three-wide throughout on return at Morphettville, he's again been asked to cover extra ground on Saturday and was brave once more in the finish. Ready to win.
Race 4 - Taunting (first)
Michael Hickmott looks to have a really nice horse on his hands with this colt who following a debut where little went right, has put together back-to-back victories, both by decent margins. Given this was a two-year-old race and still the fastest 1100m event on the program bodes well for Taunting going forward.
Race 6 - The Big Goodbye (second)
A consistent three-year-old that was up in grade off a fresh victory and while the losing margin was still two lengths, it's a different result if you swap barriers/runs with the winner. With nothing taking him into the race, he's performed well chasing from the rear and he can bounce back third-up with a better map.
