Horses to follow and blackbookers who caught the Blackbook.com.au team's eye at the Belmont meeting on June 26.

Race 3 - Aberdeen Queen (fourth)

Keeps finding her way into this file and deservedly so as this mare continues peeling off the fastest closing sectionals which she did again on Saturday despite the big weight. While unlucky in her two efforts after the fresh victory, this more so was down to a rather poor ride given the good draw. She's due.

Race 6 - Costa Del Santo (fifth)

Was cricket score odds for this 1300m resumption off a 12-month spell and he's gone enormous. After a tardy getaway, this gelding has sustained a big run from the rear, recording easily the fastest last 600m of the race and was spotting weight to every rival. Will get over seven and eight furlongs while he was a second-up winner last campaign.

Race 9 - Peppijack (fifth)

This veteran was super consistent last preparation and was terrific here second-up without luck. Three-wide the trip for this 1400m attempt, he's stuck on gamely and considering the run, had no right to be within two lengths of the winner. Perhaps a drop in grade with a claiming apprentice engaged third-up could be the winning move.
